Q: I suffer from blushing; even if I talk to someone I suddenly feel my heart beating so fast and I go very red in my face and neck. Could you please give me some advice.
A: Try exhaling all the air and hold the breath for 30 seconds, that will bring the blood pressure down, cooling you down, and the blushing should stop.

Q: Working on the first chakra, I feel the kundalini energy coming up, and it brings a lot of energy into the body and head and I couldn't sleep. What should I do?
A: Do it a maximum of three times a week in the mornings, and not in the evenings.

Q: In the move on the third chakra DVD where the hands are on the side and the legs go out and back in, the legs go out 60 degrees, and then back. Do I inhale when extending the legs or when bringing them back in?
A: Inhale when you extend the legs at a 60 degree angle.

Q: I have been warned by previous yoga teachers that kundalini is dangerous and that I don't want to awaken the kundalini without an instructor. Please tell me if this is true and if I should stop practicing alone.
A: It's not dangerous if you follow the instructions properly. If you follow the DVDs, you'll be fine as they have been designed to be practiced alone at home. All the positions are aligned one after the other, making you feel great and not worried.

Q: Where can I get the music from your Detox and Destress and Chakra DVDs?
A: My CD, Mayaspace, has all the music from the Detox and Destress DVD. All my other albums have been used in my Chakras DVDs.

Q: I do the kriyas and the meditation, but I don't feel comfortable chanting the mantras because I feel they conflict with my faith. My instructor says you cant do/teach kundalini yoga if you don't chant the mantras. What do you think I should do?
A: The mantras in Kundalini Yoga are very important. I do understand that it might interfere with your faith, but ultimately your instructor is right. I cant imagine teaching Kundalini yoga without the mantras. But it's up to you.

Q: In the first Chakra video, you are first bending your left leg in the first kriya, and then you stretch both legs. Do you have to bend the right leg also, or just the left leg?
A: Bend just the left leg, because it has to do with stretching the sciatic nerve.

Q: I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I don't know if I can continue doing the kundalini DVDs.
A: Listen to your body, avoid the breath of fire and focus on the warm-ups, mantras and meditation.
